THE BOOK : Reincarnation and Holocaust
Reincarnation and Holocaust is a book conceived and created by artist Sylvia Feinstein. It was written in collaboration with Carmela Lev Ari, her daughter. Beyond the blood ties and sharing the creative dimension, they are bound by their connection with the Holocaust theme, each one through her professional expression.
“I wove a very small tapestry for the cover of the book” Sylvia says. “It is based on one of my PROPHECY OF THE HOLOCAUST series of tapestries. This weaving allows the book to give an emotional expression to the material, together with my artistic vision and the painful feeling of displacement, as represented in this series of my work.”
Carmella Lev Ari works as a therapist using the method of Past Life Therapy. She notes that “the Holocaust theme appears repeatedly in the work with recovery incarnations in many patients that I treat. It is a painful subject that requires healing not only among those who physically experienced the Holocaust, but also among people that have endured traumatic genocide in previous lifetimes. The trauma of being uprooted is a constant in their lives.” 
The book is written in the form of brief descriptions of four clients of Lev Ari’s. Reincarnation and Holocaust is printed in Hebrew with English translation.
